Note

Went to replace my leading spark plugs and discovered that RX-7 plugs had been installed, which a) are shorter than RX-8 plugs in this case, and b) require a modified socket to be used as the plug body is shorter and doesn't protrude far enough out the housing to get to them. AtkinsRotary wanted $300 in shipping for their socket, so I picked a socket up from Supercheap and had it turned down. It survived removing the two leading plugs, hopefully its still alive and uncracked when it comes time to do trailing! I'm hoping that part of the heat issue was due to the trailing plugs having to do more work than intended as the leading plug was recessed further than expected.
